K1200GT Compatibility: The GT utilizes the same factory rack as the RS, but as the GT seat is thicker with a rise at the rear, on/off removal of the backrest will require removal of the seat. Otherwise.. it will work perfectly. Only real difference is the seat material. FYI.. our material is a dead-on match for the GT's smoother factory material. It will look factory.

Give your passenger the support and comfort they deserve/demand when they need it and say goodby to those pesky fingernail imprints in your ribs. As soon as they get off... remove the backrest and ride without looking like a sherpa with all kinds of ugly visible bracketry cluttering up the world's most beautiful bike.

Every Stealth Backrest comes standard with a quick release knob for "tool-less" backrest removal as well as a standard hex screw if you choose a more permanent mounting method. To remove the backrest with the quick release knob ....just reach under and it's off in 15 seconds. With the hex screw... you'll need an Allen wrench and a minute or two to lock it into place or to remove it.

Each Stealth bracket is powder coated a deep matte black finish over aluminum. Very clandestine ...blends perfectly with the rear of the bike. The furnished polypropylene knob with stainless steel stud are hidden underneath yet are easy to reach and will stand up to any weather condition.. salt, UV, rain, cold, heat, etc.. and looks perfect with the bracketry and on the bike.
