| 8/16/16: Prototype Tester- Mounted up very well. Only took 3 beers! We took the bike 4 a short ride. The wife thought it was very comfortable. It cradled her back as we'd hoped. She loved it. | Thanks for the great backrest. Quality and fit are excellent. 100% satisfied with the backrest and rack.Time to install was less than 15 minutes including taking pictures and (believe it or not) reading the directions. The material looks great on the bike. Instructions are straight forward. Very simple to install. Everything fits perfectly. My only deviation from the instructions was to run a 6 x 1.00 tap through the factory mounting holes in order to clean out some of the locktite residue. | Ordered the backrest as a Christmas gift for my wife. It arrived in a timely manner, and everything seemed to be there. I was very happy with the quality of the kit and with the service. I installed the kit today and it all went as described, instructions were clear and I had no difficulties. I am generally very pleased with the ordering, the kit and the installation. A small nitpick... the oem screws that hold the new rack on to the rails stick up above the rack slightly. Not a deal breaker by any stretch, I will probably look for something a bit more "stealth" when I get a chance. I included a few pics of the process and the final product, not great pics though. My wife and daughter both sat on the bike, and both thought it was comfortable. The ultimate test ride will have to wait until better weather, as we have a 'nor'easter' bearing down on New England. | Greetings Captain, Just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with the Versys 1K backrest. Its been a few months now and many rides and my wife is extremely happy with the backrest. More so than she expected. Not only does it provide a sense of security as a “stop” during enthusiastic “merging”, but it also allows her to scoot back on the seat and rest against it when things are less frenetic. She much prefers it over the Corbin “donut” on our zx14. I know some have moaned about the cost, true its not cheap, but quality rarely is, and in our opinion well worth the price. Thanks Again..
