The German made Verholen K1200RS/GT Peg Lowering Kit is machined out of T-6 Aluminum and comes furnished with all left/right side lowering plates, mounting hardware, and a shift lever lowering block.The kit offers one a viable solution to cramped legs and bad ergonomics.The Verholen peg lowering kit is a simple bolt on affair. No mods necessary. You simply remove your factory footpeg bracket and pegs, bolt these to the bike, then bolt the factory parts right back on except in a new, lower position. Each kit fits every model year BMW K1200RS and the 2002-2005 BMW K1200GT only.

And the big question... Just how much are the pegs lowered with this kit? The Germans tell us a full 28 mm lower than the stock position with the late model K1200RS. That's a little over 1."
Factory pegs top position.. ....15 3/4" (2000 model K12RS)
Factory pegs lower position.. 14 3/4"
With K12 Lowering Kit ........ 13 ½"

Any downsides? Maybe.. Maybe not. If you live in an area where you are regularly dragging bits and pieces on a daily basis.. can I come visit? er.. i mean..these aren't for you.. But if you are like me.. bad knees, cramped legs, or with 95% of your riding on "tame" streets these will make daily riding a much more enjoyable experience. Trust me.

Note: On the GT's, the black rubber hose to the brake fluid reservoir will be stretched tight. This has caused zero probs to date, but some choose to add a longer hose. Also.. this Verholen Peg Lowering Kit is NOT compatible with the Verholen Frame Cap Kits that we sell..

A shift lever lowering block (pic at right) is included with every peg lowering kit we sell. It's a simple bolt on item that lowers the shift lever pedal exactly 1" The shift lever lowering block is made of aluminum, is powder coated black, and comes with it's own stainless steel set screw.

Also... we offer Hornig shift and brake lever extensions (similar to pic at right) in an all antural anodized finish for those who think they need it. This shift lever adapter fits directly over the existing shift lever and locks into place via a single set screw. The brake lever piece is knurled for better grip. These enlargements make for better ergos. They fit every model year K1200RS & 02-04 K1200GT

Note: We've been told by customers that the shift lever extensions will also fit the Concours 14, ZX-14, and Honda Blackbirds. We suspect they'll fit other bikes as well but we have NOT tried them on others.
