The factory LED taillight on your late model BMW (including the BMW K1300S or K1300R) is brighter than non-LED taillights. That's a good thing, but it still won't protect you from the texting teen in the cage behind you not paying attention. This is especially true during daytime when the bright sunlight can wash out even an LED brake light. You need to get their attention. The 100HD-MZ LED and/or T50W version TailBlazer from Kisan Electronics accomplishes this by rapidly flashing your LED taillight the instant you apply the brakes. The flash rate then slows down to a steady ON - this cycle lasts about 4 seconds.

The LED version TailBlazer (pic at right) has a built-in ballast to allow continuity during the flash mode. It has a low-side interrupt circuit to allow flashing of the LEDs. This makes it easy with just a single wire splice on the ground wire of the bike. In other words, it really gets the attention of that cell phone wielding soccer mom behind you. What Will They Think?
TailBlazer uses a flash pattern, which decays exponentially - a well-recognized deceleration warning. The attention to the initial flashing now changes to a clear recognition that you're beginning to slow down! Simply flashing brake lights or flashing them on & off will get the attention of drivers behind you, but it doesn't invoke anything else. Every split second of delay in their reaction time reduces your safety margin.

CanBus Compatibility: I know what you are wondering. Are these really, 100% problem free with the foofoo complicated CanBus systems on the late model BMWs with LED taillights.? Yes.

Simply flashing brake lights or flashing them on & off will get the attention of drivers behind you, but it doesn't invoke anything else. This little electronic tool could mean the difference of a safe ride and a trip to the ER.. or worse.

"Z" option software is built-in to work in conjunction with the current monitoring system of the bike, so you don't get the warning lamps/icons lighting up during brake flash sequence. The LED version TailBlazer utilizes a switch-over technology during the brake flash. However, if the LEDs do become inoperative, the built-in warning function of the bike works as normal. The internal circuitry is controlled by a microprocessor, which allows precise flash patterns, overload detection and reverse polarity protection.

Installation: We are told by Kisan Electronics that this is a chimp-easy install requiring the cutting of 1 wire and then finding a ground. That's it. (see install links above).
