FJR 1300 Stealth Backrest® Installation

I have designed the FJR1300 Stealth to be a chimp-easy install. It will fit model year 2006-2017 FJR1300s. Install time will be about 5 minutes.. 10 if you are nursing a beer..

Warranty: Pirates' Lair will replace the bracket or internal hardware FREE of CHARGE for a period of TWO YEARS from date of purchase should your bracket or internal pieces break. As of this writing, I would assume that the good people at Sargent Cycle will warranty the upholstery portion as well. Questions? 828.628.7093 EST

Step 1 : Installing Your FJR1300 Stealth Backrest

1. Remove the (3) factory screws on your rear rack. The nuts underneath are fixed and will not drop.
2. Place the Stealth Rack into place.
3. Insert the (3) furnished 8mm x 50mm stainless screws and get all 3 started.
4. Tighten but DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. Just use common sense. Snug and a 1/4 turn should do. Remember.. the factory rack is PLASTIC!

Step 2: Backrest Usage

1. Slide the backrest all the way in.
2. Lock it in place with either your furnished tamper-proof securing screw or the quick release knob.
3. That's it!!

WARNING: Caution should be used when sliding the backrest on and off the bike. If your seat is in place, the abrasive action of the slide bar against the seat material will cause long term damage. Saavy? Pirates' Lair will not be responsible for replacing seats that have been damaged due to the neglect on "your" end.
