Pirates Lair offers two compounds for front brakes.. The A3+, which is equivalent to oem pads (although measurably better) or the XBK5 performance compound as the ultimate brake pad for street riders. That's what I use. The XBK5 compound may or may not be available for every application. Either compound pad guarantees excellent performance in either wet or dry conditions. To keep things simple, we offer one choice for rear pads.. the RX3, which is better than oem.. Pads ordered may or may not look like pads pictured at right.

Note: Some bikes, like the BMW K1200GT, have wires in their oem brake pads which illuminate an indicator light in the instrument cluster when pads are worn. CL pads do not have that wire on the pads . Meaning.. you have to actually bend down and inspect them now and then like our forefathers. Old school. Saavy?
