The Akrapovič Slip-On Line exhaust system for the BMW S1000XR represents the first step in tuning and gives a great balance between price and performance. Power & Torque: According to Akrapovic's own stats, torque and HP on their slip-ons is about the same as oem. Weight loss is just over 3lbs. So basically you should choose the Akra slip-on kits for looks and sound and to a lessor extent, weight loss only. You will NOT see a power gain from this slip-on kit. If you want more, measurable power.. you'll need to add an optional header.

Like every other aftermarket exhaust available for the S1000XR, your O2 sensors remains plugged into your factory header. How does it sound? Pretty damn awesome, IMHO. I'd say it's comparable the Remus Hexacone (with silencer.) It is NOT obnoxious and you should have no fears of annoying the neighbors.

For those who want to be all they can be, optional headers are available in stainless /or titanium as an upgrade to a full system when used with the Akrapovič slip-on exhaust system.
