Like every other aftermarket exhaust available for the K13 & K12, the Akrapovic eliminates the catalytic converter. Your O2 sensor will plug back into your new header. The Akra does NOT come with silencer. How does it sound? Pretty damn awesome, IMHO. I'd say it's about middle of the pack as far as loudness. It's not as loud as a Remus Powercone, but not as quiet as a Remus Revolution. I'd say it's comparable the Remus Hexacone (without a silencer), or Two Brothers (without a silencer) . It is NOT obnoxious and you should have no fears of annoying the neighbors.
