This kit essentially replaces all "visible" fasteners and contains over 100 pieces and 20 different sizes of socket head, button head, and low-head bolts. Each size is individually labeled and bagged and is furnished with location chart. Does the kit replace every nut, screw, and bolt on the bike?... NO. As this is primarily a cosmetic enhancement, I see no reason to replace bolts that we never see or are mostly hidden from the elements or that look better in black as are a few of the lower cowling screws. However, I have included, as part of the kit, a screw/bolt measuring gauge so you can measure and replace any others on your own. Also, I have purposely decided NOT to furnish replacement pieces for the engine to frame bolts. Why? Because BMW has chosen these bolts for their specific tensile strength. I trust them to know what they are doing. Be aware that as the material of the bolts will change with this kit, torque specs will too. With each kit I will furnish a recommended torque value chart for A2 Class 70 Stainless fasteners. Final torque decisions will be 100% yours.
Note: If you are ordering from Europe, be aware that your 2001 is the US 2002 model. When ordering, just let us know which body style you have.. early or late model.
