Take me home, El Capitan!

RUN-N-LITES conversion kits for the BMW K1200RS, 2002-05 K1200GT, R1150R, and the K1200LT illuminate the stock turn signal housing with a low intensity light at all times making you more visible to the world. A high intensity light flashes with actuation of the turn signal switch. These kits are designed to install without cutting or splicing wires and in under an hour. The light bulbs used are standard automotive bulbs. Besides making your bike more visible to the caged masses... the visual effect is stunning.

TYPE-10 K1200RS/ 2002-05 GT (Rear) Pirates' Price $50.US (USPS Priority Included) Temp Out of Stock!
The TYPE-10 kit fits the rear of ALL year K1200RS & 2002-05 K1200GT's as well as the FRONT and REAR of the R1150R. The kit utilizes standard, dual element, car tail light bulbs (#1157). These bulbs contain both a low intensity element and a high intensity element. The low intensity element is the running or marker light, which is ON all the time. The high intensity element is the flashing, turn signal element, which is ON intermittently. The stock BMW single element turn signal bulb and socket are replaced with the RUN-N-LITES dual element bulb and socket. The RUN-N-LITES bulb handles both running (marker) and turn signal functions. The original plastic reflector is also replaced with an aluminum foil-type reflector. No modifications are required to the wiring. Power for the new running light circuit is obtained from the "Tail Light" circuit in the tail light assembly.

Modification to Rear Housing On some Run-N-Lite kits, the housing must be modified by drilling an 1/8"diameter hole for ventilation . This modification has been found to be necessary to relieve heat build-up. The ventilation hole is needed to maintain acceptable temperatures inside the housing. Complete instrutions are provided with each kit if necessary.
NOTE: The 2002-05 K1200RS and the GT's have the EVO ABS brake system which among other things, senses whether the tail light bulb is OK. If it senses that the tail light bulb is NOT working, it sends a low voltage currant to the TAIL light to make it look like a brake light.. or something like that. With the Type-10 Run-N-Lite Kit or Lite Buddy's the EVO system will NOT be able to sense a burnt out brake light bulb so this ONE feature will not work anymore, or so we hear... however.. you will have a functioning tail light.. . It's just a minor trade off and of course.. your dealer will advise you against it as they do with ANY aftermarket accessory.
